Shay’s Motel is an ensemble born from the improvised hip hop jam sessions of a group of friends hailing from Seattle, Brooklyn, and California. Shay’s Mo’s sound can be likened to the sampled textures of hip hop producers of the last two decades, combined with the rhythmic and harmonic freedom of jazz improvisation.
